For fun, in Cabo San Lucas, we took a morning glass-bottom boat tour to see the colorful undersea marine life, so incredibly beautiful! Read about our adventure below..
Our tour included showing us all around the spectacular rock formations of Land's End including the famous arch. On the way back, the tour guide took us to one of the beautiful beaches and let us get off the boat. I'm thinking, how nice, we get to experience a beach. People were picnicking and enjoying some snorkeling time. We've done this tour here in Cabo before and mistakenly weren't paying too close attention to the guide (not Gilligan). Shortly after dropping us off, our boat left, leaving us behind. Oops, we had missed the EspaƱola part announcing that he'd return later today to pick us all up, what!? We had a cruise ship to catch! Oh dear, it was hot and we had no drinking water, no sunscreen, no towels, no lunch, no snorkel gear, no nothing.
Taking matters into our own hands, we started walking asking folks along the way for directions. We waded through waist-deep water at times. Then, when the water became too deep, we hiked up and over rocky mountain trails in our flip flops, then, again, more beach walking, then more deep water, then, well, repeat above 4-5 times. Little rock crabs scrambled out of our way as we navigated to our destination, the marina where our adventure had begun. In three hours, our memorable story had been written. We survived! And it was fun!
btw, the beach pictured is the famous Lover's Beach. On this side is the Gulf of California and on the other side is the Pacific Ocean. Lover's Beach
